Meghan & Branden | Engagement Session | Boston Commons

Simple. Pure. Innocent. Love.

Words that come to mind when I think of Branden and Meghan, a beautiful couple starting their lives together in Boston, Mass. Andrea and I took a lovely Sunday to join them on a walk across Boston with the cutest couple ever. Starting in the Cambridge commons, just blocks from Meghan's college, where Branden and Meghan shared many special memories including their first kiss. After a walk through the famous Harvard Square, we took the T to the beautiful Boston commons.

By the end of the day we not only saw a peak of of Boston's history, but a peak into Branden and Meagan's history too.

The Tuck family is diverse and yet so alike. The come from all over the world – literally, but when they are together it is as if no time has past. Katy and Jason have a special place in my heart, as I teared up many times throughout their special day I couldn’t help but feeling that I was watching my best friend and my sister get married. Their wedding day was filled with so many truly moving moments that were silently shared with soft touches, loving glances, and warm embraces. But what sincerely made their day so exceptional was the atmosphere created by the family and friends that are a group of people more caring than I have ever known. By the end of the day I was not just photographing them drive away together, but waving them off as a part of the family. Katy and Jason exchanged vows at South Lewiston Baptist Church and held their reception at The Martindale Country Club in Auburn.

Beth and Greg are your darling college sweethearts.

Beth is nothing but smiles, she is the one in your group of friends that always knows how to make you laugh and that constantly keeps the conversation going with witty references. Greg is the friend that is always there with a kind ear and a soft heart; he is the one that you can count on to be there in a bind. Put these two together and you have the perfect pair.

They came all the way up to Maine from Philadelphia to reminisce on their recent engagement in Portland. We spent the afternoon laughing in the fog at Maine’s most classic location, Portland Headlight.

Katy and Jason are adorable. Simply adorable.

Katy, Jason, and I had been trying to arrange a snowy engagement session for a couple weeks and it was looking less and less likely to happen as the snow was melting faster and faster. And then came the freak April fools Day snowstorm of 2011. I think we were the only people in Maine that were ecstatic when the snow began to fall on April 1^st. Maybe mother nature got to laugh at most people, but it was perfect for our dream of a winder wonderland engagement session.

So we headed out to the beautiful Thorncrag Bird Sanctuary in Lewiston, Maine where Katy and Jason had one of their first dates. We spent hours exploring the trails and trudging through the snow. Katy and Jason even brought snowshoes for me! I told you they were adorable.

No one can make Katy smile like Jason can, and when she does, she glows. They seem to just fit together, but more than that they complement each other perfectly. He is the yin to her yang, and she is the butter to his bread. I cannot wait to see what these two have planned for their May wedding. I know with a couple like this it is going to be spectacular.

Jess and Mike sure know how to have a good time and make sure everyone else is as well. Jess and Mike are the kind of people where the party doesn’t start until they walk in the room. They are your best friends, the ones who always know how to make you laugh when you’re down. Mike might be the quiet type but it is without a doubt that Jess brings out the best in him.

A wedding to these two meant being close to home, laughing all day long, and making sure friends and family were having a blast; Jess and Mike knew how to make that happen. With their ceremony at the elegant Hilton Garden Inn River Watch, they hit off the celebration at the Carriage House. But the festivities were not going to end there, it wouldn’t be the same if they didn’t finish of at the local favorite, Gritty’s Pub.

We begin with the guys taking a little relaxer before attempting to understand how to iron.

Only for Jess and Mike would the sun begin to shine on such a rainy gloomy day. Our plan was to enjoy the art gallery at Bates College but our day held so much more. We wandered the halls of the Bates art studios and when the sun began to shine, explored the campus. Jess and Mike are such a soft and beautiful couple and their soft gestures towards each other are almost unnoticeable, yet express everything.
